We understand how important it is for you to know that a property has been cleaned in depth and how it helps you feel comfortable traveling.

To help ensure your safety and well-being, we consulted with government, health, and travel industry experts to offer hosts guidance and best practices for cleaning and disinfecting a vacation rental property.

Hosts can add any cleaning measures taken for their property based on regional and industry cleaning standards.  Some of these measures are:
  • Enhanced cleaning practices
  • Cleaned with disinfectant
  • Number of days between guests
  • Check-in and check out with no person-to-person contact
  • Disinfected high-touch surfaces (such as light switches, handles, and faucets)
  • Towels and bedding washed at 60ºC/140ºF between stays

You can find this information in the Policies section of the property page. You can also search for properties that other guests have rated highly for cleanliness using the filter Highly rated for cleanliness under the More filters button.

Additionally, you can see a cleanliness rating above the average nightly rate for properties that have 4+ star reviews for cleanliness.

Follow the links below to find out more about these efforts. This list is not exhaustive. Many properties implement practices independently of those listed here.
