Payments made with HomeAway Payments: 

With HomeAway Payments, you can easily pay for the entire reservation through our online platform with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or eCheck (eChecks are available for U.S. residents only). Most travelers will book and pay online using this method.

Payments made with alternative payments: 

With alternative payments, the service fee is paid through HomeAway checkout, but rental payments are processed by the owner or property manager via the payment method you select at the time of booking. Alternative payment methods include personal check, PayPal, bank-to-bank transfer, and occasionally, property owners or managers may offer payments via credit card. Since rental payments made with alternative payment methods are processed by the owner or property manager directly, they are not charged at the time of booking.

Reservations that are paid for outside the HomeAway checkout flow are not covered by the Book with Confidence Guarantee. Never send payments using services like MoneyGram or Western Union.
