As of Spring 2023, we have simplified  the way customer accounts work across our family of brands.  You can now use one account to access Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo.

This change allows you to manage your trips, profile, and preferences across the three brands all in one place.

What do you need to do?

  • If you only have one account with Vrbo, you don’t need to do a thing. Your credentials will allow you to sign in on Expedia and Hotels.com.
  • If you have multiple accounts with Expedia and/or Hotels.com using the same email, we’ll send you a one-time passcode when you next sign in. You’ll be prompted to create a new password at sign-in.
  • If you previously booked as a guest with Expedia, Hotels.com, and/or Vrbo using the same email address, your personal information was shared across these Expedia Group companies in accordance with our Privacy Statement.
    • If you later decide to create an account using the same email address, your previous information with these brands will appear in your single account.

FAQ

QuestionAnswer
What happens if I have multiple accounts with different email addresses? If you have multiple accounts with two or three of our brands using different emails for each, these accounts will remain separate.
What if I don’t want to have one account across brands? If you’d prefer not to have one account across brands, you can request that we delete your account (see instructions further down the page).

Please note:
  • Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. Once an account is deleted, you will no longer have access to historic booking information and neither will our Customer Service teams. As a result, they may not be able to process cancellations, refunds or answer specific questions on your previous bookings.
  • If you’re currently on a trip or have upcoming trips attached to the account, we request you submit your deletion request after your trip is completed. We also encourage you to save a copy of all your itineraries and correspondence with us or the travel supplier before you request the deletion, so you have this for reference should you need it in the future.
  • If you have a Vrbo Property listing, you’ll need to remove the property from our platform and close your host account before we can process your deletion request. In order to do this, please contact Customer Support.
Expedia, Hotels.com, and Vrbo accounts need to be deleted individually and separately. Please submit a deletion request to each brand with which you have an account.  Please note, not all methods will be available on all sites internationally.
