Create a new template
Creating custom message templates helps you save time and stay connected with your guests.
Templates allow you to:
- Respond faster to travelers: Quickly answer common questions to improve your chances of securing bookings and ensuring a smooth guest experience.
- Automate routine messages: Schedule messages to send automatically based on:
- Specific times, such as 10 AM the day before check-in
- Booking events, such as booking confirmation or check-out
To add scheduling or make other changes to an existing template, see Manage your templates.
Create a new template
To add a template in the Vrbo Owner Dashboard or Vrbo Owner mobile app:
- From your Inbox:
- Mobile app: Tap the ⋯ menu, then Templates.
- Web: Select Templates.
- Select Create a new template.
- Enter a Template name.
- Write your Message.
- Tip: Use Personalize to insert tags that automatically include guest or property details.
- Optional: Select Attach file to include files with your message.
- Select Next.
- Optional: To schedule the message, choose a time or booking event for automatic sending.
- If your schedule is set a day or more before or after check-in or check-out, select the “Always send for last-minute bookings and short stays” option to ensure messages are sent.
- Choose the properties this template should apply to, then select Next.
- Note: If you have more than 50 properties, you can use Select all to apply the template to every property. However, you can individually manage only the 50 properties shown in the list at this time.
- Select Save.
