You can update your custom message templates directly from your Inbox to make guest communication faster and easier.

Templates can include:

  • File attachments: Add images, PDFs, or other files.
  • Personalized tags: Automatically insert guest names, owner names, stay dates, and property names.
  • Scheduling options: Set messages to send automatically based on specific times or booking events.

Edit a template

Vrbo Owner Dashboard

  1. Go to Inbox.
  2. Select Templates.
  3. Choose the template you want to update.
  4. Select any setting to make changes.
  5. Optional: To add scheduling, select Scheduled for.*
  6. When finished, select Save.

Vrbo Owner mobile app

  1. Tap Inbox.
  2. Tap the menu, then Templates.
  3. Find the template you want to update and tap Edit.
  4. Tap any setting to make changes.
  5. Optional: To add scheduling, tap Scheduled for.*
  6. When finished, tap Save.

* Note: If you have more than 50 properties, you can use Select all to apply the template to every property. However, you can individually manage only the 50 properties shown in the list at this time.
