View or reply to an inquiry
Travelers are more likely to book and less likely to cancel reservations at properties where the owner responds quickly to their inquiries. You can view queries from travelers and track your responsiveness metrics (including response rate and response time) in your Vrbo inbox.
View and reply to an inquiry:
- Log in to your account.
- Select the appropriate listing.
- Select Inbox.
- Select Inquiry.
- You can also enter the guest's name and reservation ID (Res ID) into the search bar.
- Select the inquiry you wish to view.
- Write your response in the Message to guest field
- Select Use template to choose a template to use for your response.
- Select Attach file to add an attachment to your response.
- Select the arrow icon when ready to send
Reply and pre-approve:
- Under Inquiry, select Send pre-approval.
- Select Edit quote to make any changes to the booking or payment details.
- You can edit the pre-loaded message as necessary.
- Select Use Template to use a prewritten message template.
- SelectAttach file to add an attachment to your response.
- Select Pre-approve to send your pre-approval to the guest.
Notes for Integrated Property Managers (IPMs)
- Reply from your software: Depending on the software's capabilities, you may be able to view and reply to inquiries from your Property Management Software. Contact your software provider for more information.
- Note: Unless your property management software supports inquiry integration, inquires will only appear in your Vrbo inbox.
- Reply from your Vrbo inbox: See the steps to View and reply to an inquiry listed above.
- Pre-approvals: Pre-approvals aren't supported in your Property Management Software. Advise the traveler to book directly through the Vrbo website.
