Travelers are more likely to book and less likely to cancel reservations at properties where the owner responds quickly to their inquiries. You can view queries from travelers and track your responsiveness metrics including response rate and response time in your Vrbo inbox.  

To view and reply to an inquiry:
  1. Log in to your account. 
  2. Select the listing if you have multiple properties.
  3. Select Inbox
  4. Select Filters.
  5. Select Reservation.
  6. Select Inquiry.
    • You can also enter the guest's name and reservation ID (Res ID) into the search bar. 
  7. Select the inquiry you wish to view. 
  8. To reply to an inquiry, choose from the following options and continue with the corresponding steps:
    • Reply & pre-approve: Use this when you're ready to send a payment request and allow your guest to pay.
    • Reply: Use this to have a conversation with your guest. Once you're ready to book, use the reply and pre-approve option.
    • Reply with quote: Use this to send a guest payment information. If a guest decides to book, it comes through as a request and you have 24 hours to accept or decline.
      • Note: This option is only available if you have a subscription. 
 

Reply & pre-approve  

  1. Select Reply & pre-approve
  2. Select Edit quote to make any changes to the booking or payment details.   
  3. Select Use Template to select the template you wish to use. 
  4. Select Attach file to add an attachment to your response. 
  5. Select Pre-approve to send your pre-approval to the guest.

Reply

  1. Select Reply from within the chat area.  
  2. From here, you can write a custom reply. 
  3. Select Use template to choose a template.
  4. Select Attach file to add an attachment to your response.
  5. Select Send.
  

Reply with a quote

  1. Select Reply with quote.  
  2. Adjust the quote as needed
  3. Select Review.  
  4. Confirm the booking details and personalize your message to the guest: 
  5. Select Use template to choose a template.
  6. Select Attach file to add an attachment to your response. 
  7. Select Reply with quote to send your quote to the guest.
