Change or reset your Vrbo account password
Resetting your password
- Select Login on the Vrbo home page.
- Choose Traveler Login or Owner Login from the drop-down menu.
- Enter your email address.
Note: This must be the email address you provided when setting up your account. - Select Get started.
- Select I forgot my password.
- You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.
Changing your password
- Log in to your account.
- Under your name, select My Profile.
- Select Settings from the menu.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password and confirm by entering again.
- Select Update password.
Password requirements
- Must contain at least one letter and one number
- Must have 7-32 characters
- Can’t use a previous password
- Can’t contain commonly used terms such as ‘password’, ‘august’, or ‘Vrbo’
- Can’t contain a series of numbers or letters such as ‘123’ or ‘1111’, ‘abcd’, or ‘aaa’
The password reset link is valid for 24 hours. If you received the email more than 24 hours ago and you haven’t yet selected the link, follow the instructions above to resend the password reset email.
Note: It’s strongly recommended in this case to clear your cache and cookies before sending a second password reset email.
If you don’t receive a password reset email, try entering a different email address. Also check your junk/spam folder for the email if you’ve waited for longer than 15 minutes.
If your Traveler account is linked to your Facebook account, you need to manage your password through Facebook. If your Google account is linked, follow the steps for Resetting your password or Changing your password.
