When you receive booking requests, you may find that some travelers have a badge that says “Verified Identity” next to their name. The verified identity badge indicates that Vrbo has confirmed the traveler is who they say they are, and that the information they have provided during the identity verification process is accurate.

Once a traveler submits a booking request, they’re asked to provide their physical address, birth date, and other personal information. Vrbo confirms that this information is accurate and authentic. Once the booking request is accepted, a traveler’s basic contact information, like their email address and phone number, is shared so that you may keep in contact.

Currently, there is no way for a property owner or manager to require that a traveler confirm their identity before sending a booking request.
