Integrated Property Managers - About booking requests for integrated accounts
Important: This article is for Integrated Property Managers (IPMs).
If you've chosen ‘24-hour Review’ as your booking type, travelers will submit a booking request for your property. You should aim to accept or decline booking requests within 24 hours.
Guests are less likely to cancel their reservation and more likely to leave a positive review when you respond quickly to their inquiries. You can view all your open booking requests and response times in your Vrbo Inbox.
Accept or decline a booking request
You’re sent an email notification when you receive a booking request. Accept or decline the request within your Property Management Software. You can’t accept or decline booking requests in the Vrbo Inbox.Allow 24 hours for the booking status to update in the Vrbo dashboard.
Booking request process
When a traveler submits a booking request, a hold is placed on your calendar to block other requests for those dates. Travelers are also charged a Vrbo Service Fee.- If you accept the booking, the request is moved to your reservation list, and the status updates to ‘Booked/Confirmed’. The guest receives an email notifying them that you have accepted their booking.
- If you decline the booking, the hold is removed, and your calendar is open for other requests.
- If you don’t respond, your calendar will continue to be blocked and the reservation will be in an ‘Unconfirmed’ status. You must either accept or decline the booking request to remove this status.
Response period
Declines after 24 hours are considered cancellations. You will incur a cancellation fee and this may negatively impact your metrics. If you need to decline a reservation after 24 hours for a waivable reason, select Contact Us and notify IPM Support.

Countdown Clock
Booking requests in the Vrbo Inbox have a 24-hour countdown clock to notify you how much time you have left to respond.- Note: The countdown clock is for informational purposes only and will not stop even if the booking has already been confirmed in your software.
