If you hide a listing it will be inactive and won’t be bookable on the Vrbo site. You can hide, pause, and reactivate your listings from the Vrbo dashboard. Some reasons you may way to deactivate a listing are:

  • The listing is not ready to go live.
  • Awaiting technical issues to be resolved.
  • No longer renting the property.
  • Temporary pause in advertising.


Deactivate a listing from the Vrbo dashboard

  1. Log in to your Vrbo owner dashboard.
  2. Select the listing you want to deactivate.
  3. Select the Property tab.
  4. Select Property details.
  5. Select Hide and follow the prompts.


Deactivation from your property management software

  • If you deactivated a listing in your software, the listing will revert to inactive on Vrbo. 
  • If you deactivate a listing in Vrbo it will remain inactive, even if it's still active in your software.
  • For a listing to be active and remain active, both the software and Vrbo listing status must be active.
