After you submit a booking request, the host has 24 hours to accept or decline. If they don’t respond, we’ll automatically decline the request for you.
If you haven’t received a host response, try verifying that:
- You received an inquiry confirmation email from us. This email confirms that your inquiry was delivered to the host.
- You don’t have a response in your email’s junk or spam folder.
- Your email filter settings allow for incoming messages from “@messages.homeaway.com”.
You can withdraw a pending booking request at any time before it’s accepted or declined by following the steps below:
- Go to My Trips.
- Select Help to open the Virtual Agent.
- Select Cancel Booking.
- Select the booking you wish to cancel.
- Click Yes, withdraw the booking to confirm your request.
