Once you arrive at the property, we suggest conducting a safety check to ensure you know where all relevant emergency equipment is located. We recommend that all hosts have functioning safety equipment, such as smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and fire extinguishers.

Many properties also provide a first aid kit, local emergency numbers, and the nearest hospital location. If this information is not readily available, contact the host to request it.

In the event of an emergency or if your personal safety and security are threatened, contact local police or emergency services immediately.

Security & Privacy: Ask if the property has alarm systems, security cameras, or other monitoring and surveillance systems. Ensure you know where these items are located and how to operate them.
 
House Rules: Make sure you follow the property’s House Rules and are in compliance with any guidelines such as the approved number of guests, pets, smoking, or events.
