Change or reset your Vrbo owner account password

Managing your Vrbo owner account password is important for keeping your property, bookings, and financial information secure.

If you ever need to update your password or you can’t remember it, you can quickly change or reset it from your Owner Dashboard or the sign‑in page. The steps below walk you through what to do in each situation, along with the requirements your new password must meet.

Password requirements

Your new password must meet the following rules:

Must include both letters and numbers
Must be 7–32 characters with no spaces
Can’t include simple sequences (for example: 1234, 1111, abcd)
Can’t be the same as a previous password
Can’t include common or easily guessed words such as “password,” “dog,” or “Vrbo”

Change your password

Follow these steps if you know your current password and want to update it:

Sign in to your Vrbo Owner Dashboard.
At the top of the page, select the account icon, then choose Account settings.
Select the Security tab.
Under Account protection, find Password.
Select Edit.
Enter your Current password.
Enter your New password, then re‑enter it in Re‑type new password.
Select Save changes.

Reset your password

Follow these steps if you can’t remember your password:

On the Vrbo homepage, select Sign in.
Select Sign in as an owner.
Enter the Email address associated with your Vrbo owner account. The email must match the one used on your account to receive the reset email.
Select Continue.
Select Forgot your password? to send a secure code to your email.
Check your email inbox for the email from us with a 6‑digit code.
1. If you don’t see the email within 15 minutes, check your junk or spam folder.
2. If the email doesn’t arrive, return to the Vrbo website and try entering a different email address that may be on your account.
Return to Vrbo and enter the 6‑digit code.
Select Continue.
Enter a new password, then re-enter it to confirm.
Select Save password.
