If you have a listing with us, you need to provide us with your taxpayer details. As a United States (US) company, we’re required by the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to collect taxpayer details from hosts who may have US-sourced income.

Your Vrbo tax profile makes it simple: by asking you a few questions, we will automatically verify your tax identity.

To help keep your information secure, the only way to access your tax profile is through an email from Vrbo:

Get the email link to your tax profile

Through the Vrbo dashboard, you can request an email with a link to your tax profile (or your property manager can request the email on your behalf).

Important:

  • Your tax profile is linked to your bank account details in Vrbo. The bank account details in Vrbo, including the email address, must be owned by the bank account holder. This email address is only used for communication about the tax profile and tax forms, while booking-related emails will still go to the Vrbo account’s email address.
  • If you own the bank account but don’t have access to the Vrbo account, ask your property manager to make sure your bank account details include your email address in the Vrbo dashboard before they complete the following steps for you.
Get the email from Vrbo:
  1. Log in to your Vrbo account.
  2. If necessary, select a listing.
  3. Select Property, then Payment options.
  4. On the Bank accounts page, go to the bank account associated with the taxpayer details you want to update.
  5. Go to Tax forms:
    • If you have never filled out your tax profile before, select Add tax form.
    • If you need to update your details, select Edit.

This action will send an email to the address linked with the bank account.

  • If you receive the email from Vrbo, follow the steps in the next section of this article: Fill out your tax profile.
  • If someone else receives the email (such as the owner of the property), they must follow the instructions in the message to access their tax profile.

Fill out your tax profile

If you receive an email from Vrbo about completing your tax profile to receive payments, follow the steps to submit your details:

  1. In the email, select the link in the message.
  2. Log in using your Vrbo account details. If you don’t have an account, you’ll be prompted to create one to access your tax profile.
  3. On the Welcome to the Tax Form Management Service page, follow the on-screen instructions to get started.
    • Important: Based on your selections, you may be directed to the IRS website. If this is the case, select Got It to complete your profile and go to the site.
  4. On the Read and Sign page, enter your name to electronically sign.
  5. If different, change the date to fit your time zone.
  6. Select Next.
  7. Review the preview to make sure your information is correct. If you need to edit any details, select Make Changes.
  8. Select Submit Form.
  9. Optional: Check the box I want paperless delivery. If you’re eligible to receive a tax form, choosing electronic delivery means you’ll get an email when the form is ready to download.
