Important: This article only applies if you joined Vrbo, or if you received an email from Vrbo about your tax profile, on or after January 23, 2025.

If you have a listing with us, you need to provide us with your taxpayer details. As a United States (US) company, we’re required by the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to collect taxpayer details from hosts who may have US-sourced income.

Your Vrbo tax profile makes it simple: by asking you a few questions, we will automatically verify your tax identity.

To help keep your information secure, the only way to access your tax profile is through an email from Vrbo:

Get the email link to your tax profile

Through the Vrbo dashboard, you can request an email with a link to your tax profile.

Important: If you’re the bank account owner and don’t have access to the Vrbo account, ask your property manager to complete these steps so you can receive the email.

  1. Log in to your Vrbo account and select the listing.
  2. Select Property then Payment options
  3. On the Bank accounts page, go to the bank account associated with the taxpayer details you want to update.
  4. Go to Tax forms
    • If you haven’t completed your tax profile before, select Add tax form.
    • If you need to update your details, select Edit.

This action will send an email to the email address associated with the bank account. If you receive an email from Vrbo, follow the steps in the next section of this article: Fill out your tax profile

Important: If someone else receives the email (their email address is associated with the bank account), they must follow the steps to enter their own taxpayer details through the email's link.
