Connecting your property management software (PMS) to your Vrbo account is a great way to quickly make changes across all your listings and automatically distribute them to all the channels you are integrated with.

Before the onboarding process

Ensure you have the following information:

  • Company name.
  • Point of contact for setting up the account and their contact information.
  • The software you’ve chosen for the integration and the software account ID.
  • You’ve enabled Vrbo as channel partner in your software.
  • The total number of listings you manage.
  • In your software, you’ve enabled your properties to feed Vrbo.
  • Payment processor and currency set up in your software.
  • A credit card on file is required for Vrbo integration.
  • If you have an existing account with Vrbo or its affiliate brands, confirm the email address associated with it.
If you are in any of the following locations:
  • Europe: Confirm your VAT (Value Added Tax) number / Professional Tax Identifier.
  • Quebec: Confirm your VAT (Value Added Tax) number.
  • Brazil: Confirm your active CNPJ number.
Once the integration is completed, you'll be responsible for collecting guest payments & remitting all taxes required in the location of each property.

Onboarding process

Self-Service Onboarding (SSO)
Your software provider or your Vrbo Account Manager will send you an SSO link to automate the process and simplify the onboarding. The integration is usually completed within 24 hours.

If you need support:
  1. Navigate to Vrbo Help page.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Select I’m a Property Manager.
  4. Select Software Integration.
  5. Select Call or Email.
If you have an assigned Account Manager, you can contact them to start the onboarding process. The integration process usually takes up to 5 business days.

Onboarding phases

Project kickoff
Our Onboarding Specialist (OS) will contact you to ensure that all your listings include:
  • At least 6 photos.
  • A minimum of 20 characters in the headline.
  • A minimum of 400 characters in the description.
  • At least one bedroom and one bathroom.
  • A valid address.
  • Accurate rates and calendar.
  • A cancellation policy.
  • A payment processor.
  • Cancellation agreements in your software.
Set up your account
Ensure that your listing information, rates, calendars, and reviews are set up correctly:
  • Account consolidation: In case you have multiple accounts on Vrbo.
  • Listing Mapping: If you have live listings on Vrbo, you’ll need to map your Listings IDs in your software to the corresponding Vrbo IDs.
  • Reservation Mapping: If you are switching from one software to another, you’ll need to map each reservation ID from your old software to the new one.
Integration enablement and testing
Once the mapping process has been completed, the Onboarding Specialist will:
  • Enable the feed from your software directly to Vrbo.
  • Run tests to ensure the integration is working.
Training and optimization
After the onboarding process and the listings are correctly live on Vrbo, the Onboarding Specialist will schedule a call or send you an email to review your listings, answer your questions and share best practices for booking optimization.
