If you’ve set up SMS alerts (text messages) in your account but aren’t receiving them, please follow the troubleshooting steps:
  1. Log in to your account.
  2. If you have more than one listing, select the one you want to edit.
  3. Select the Property icon in the navigation menu.
  4. Select the Contacts tab.
  5. Confirm that the correct cell phone number is entered in the SMS alerts (text messages) to your cell phones section.
  6. Text START to 48381.
  7. Enter the verification code sent to your mobile number.
  8. Select Save.
After sending the START code you should receive a message that reads: 
“(PM): Messaging service by PM reactivated. For help reply HELP.
Please note, this procedure is only valid for US phone numbers.”
  • For Canadian phone numbers, text START to 32075. Message & Data rates may apply.
  • For UK and Mainland Europe, text START to 44786209702.
If you receive a failure message or don’t receive any message, we recommend that you contact your cell phone provider and ask them if the text messages sent from Vrbo are being properly received.
