Add or update damage protection for your property
Damage protection helps protect your property from unexpected accidents.
You can choose to require a damage deposit, which gives you coverage up to the amount you set. After a guest checks out, you have 14 days to report any damage.
Set up or change your damage protection
- Log in to your Vrbo Owner Dashboard.
- If you manage multiple properties, go to the listing you want to update.
- In the menu, select Property.
- Select Rules & policies.
- Select the Damage protection tab.
- Choose a damage protection policy (or opt out of coverage).
- Select Save.
